Recent Projects
Launched in 1959, the National Association of Optometrists and Opticians (NAOO) was established as an organizational structure dedicated to promoting regular, high quality and convenient eye care from all segments of the industry in an environment free from unnecessary regulation. NAOO members represent in excess of 9,000 retail optical stores operating in every state in the country. Eye care professionals in those locations treat and help identify serious eye and chronic disease, such as diabetes and hypertension, and provide eye wear for more than 48 million Americans annually.
NAOO engaged CMC to create a clean, modern website that better represents its mission of advocacy and commitment to improving vision care in the U.S.
2020 VA Modernization Fair
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is undergoing a massive modernization project that ulitmately impacts every part of the nation's second largest federal agency. VA is working to evolve itself into a world-class, high performance organization that will deliver a stronger future for Veterans, their families and caregivers. CMC was tasked with producing an event, the 2020 Modernization Fair, for VA employees and contractors that would make VA Modernization come alive and generate excitement for the initiative.
Working closely with VA staff and additional Office of Modernization government contractors, CMC conceptualized the event, coordinated exhibitor recruitment and preparation, designed room layout, managed graphics and video production, coordinated event promotion and produced the event on site. The fair, which included remarks by both VA Secretary Wilkie and VA Chief of Staff Pamela Powers, was attended by nearly 1,000 staff and contractors over the course of four hours.

During his career CMC's Principal Chris McNamara has conceptualized, developed and produced both large-scale (multiple thousands of attendees) general sessions and smaller meetings and workshops. In addition to this recent effort on behalf of VA, he has produced successful events for United Way of America, the American Diabetes Association, the Council on Foundations, the National Safe Boating Council, CAQH, BHR Pharma, Besins Healthcare, the National Association of Vision Care Plans, the American Association of Payers, Administrators and Networks, and the VA Privacy Service.
Branding
The American Association of Payers, Administrators and Networks (AAPAN) and its sister organization, the National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP), tasked CMC with creating refreshed branding, including updated logos, messaging, websites and events. Both organizations wanted branding that simultaneously communicated their individuality and collaborative connection.
CMC led development of the new, more modern logos in collaboration with the each association's member Communications Committee. The process yielded more than 50 designs for each organization to consider
SurgiPrice is healthcare company that allows employers to offer employees a unique elective surgery experience and discounted rates created through cost bundling. The organization engaged CMC to develop branding for its website, exhibit booth and a variety of print materials. The SurgiPrice logo was designed for balanced emphasis on both components of the company name and offerings. The globe component speaks to the company's medical tourism products.
Videos
The National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP) and its sister organization, the American Association of Plans, Administrators and Networks (AAPAN) engaged CMC to conceptualize, develop and produce its annual event programing. That effort included conference graphics, scripting, keynote addresses, speaker identification and preparation, event emceeing and opening videos.
Each of the following was created to set both the mood and purpose of these respective annual events. In addition, the videos served as a high-energy set up to the president's keynote during the opening general sessions.
